Volander
We worked with Volander, a defence technology startup, to create a brand as strong as their innovation. Through strategy, naming and a full visual identity, we gave them the clarity and credibility to attract investment, stand apart in a traditional sector and move forward with confidence.
Volander develops cutting-edge defence systems at the intersection of engineering expertise and real-world military insight. But despite the strength of their technology, their brand lacked the clarity and credibility needed to match it.
With no cohesive identity and little to help them stand apart in a conservative sector, they needed a brand that would support serious funding conversations and reflect their ambitions as a next-generation defence company.
A strategic foundation was built through competitor analysis and a branding workshop focused on tone of voice, messaging, and positioning. From there, a full visual identity was developed, including a bespoke wordmark, brand guidelines and a flexible design system.
Launch materials covered every touchpoint: from pitch decks and website design to merchandise, stationery, and presentation templates, all built to communicate with clarity and confidence.
The new identity gives Volander a credible and modern presence, designed to attract investment and open doors. With a visual language that balances authority and innovation, the brand now serves as a platform for everything from investment meetings to prototype test flights.
Throughout development, the brand evolved in parallel with the product itself, from CAD renders and 3D prototypes to early-stage demonstrations. Stakeholder alignment was key, with every element shaped to serve a clear strategic goal.
Defence startups face a unique challenge: earning trust in a space where credibility matters as much as innovation. This brand helps Volander do both, positioning them clearly in a competitive market while giving teams the tools to communicate with consistency and impact.

A focused, collaborative process that gave us a brand with real weight. It strikes the right balance between innovation and credibility and is already making a difference in the way we show up.
